The 2-day music festival with five music stages was held on the grounds of the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. Three existing
building served as juke joints and featured the music of Dorothy Moore, Bobby Rush, Denise LaSalle, Eden Brent and many others; the outdoor acoustic stage was the perfect spot to sit on the lawn and
enjoy the music; the fifth stage was an outdoor music stage with state of the art lights and video screens and featured the sounds of Dr. John, Mint Condition, Mud Morganfield, Laura Izibor, Tab
Benoit, Bettye LaVette and so many others. The festival also included panel discussions about the music, a number of great food vendors and art by H C Porter, Ken Daley and Richard (Dick)

Plans are underway now for the 2014 Summer of Music that's sure to feature a stellar mix of music with an equally outstanding line-up.
